Mendip's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 9am November 20 2024 to 4pm January 31 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Beckington to Woolverton, two-way traffic lights for Structural works.

A36, from 9pm August 11 2024 to 6am March 1 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 northbound, on approach to Beckington Rbt, lane closure to facilitate with upstream full closure of the A36.

And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:

A36, from 8pm November 26 to 6am November 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 roundabout south of Beckington multiway traffic lights for electrical works. Includes southbound, lane closure at Beckington. No direct access to the A361 from the A36 northbound. Traffic diverted north to Beckington roundabout, to turn and return southbound.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
