Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A36, from 8am August 12 2024 to 6am March 1 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A36 both directions Warminster Road, Limpley Stoke at Scotland Rocks, carriageway closure between Waterhouse Lane and private road for carriageway renewal, diversion Cars S/B A36, A4 E/B, A350 S/B, A361 rejoin A36, N/B diversion by following the above in reverse, diversion HGV S/B - A36 W/B, A4, A4174, M32 N/B, M4 E/B, junction 17, A350 S/B, A361 rejoin A36, N/B diversion by following above in reverse.
• A36, from 6am November 11 2024 to 6pm March 1 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both directions Limpley Stoke, two-way traffic lights and daytime convoy works for carriageway works.
And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:
• A4, from 8pm November 29 to 6am November 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 eastbound, London Road entry slip road closed for drainage works, diversion eastbound, on London Road W and London Road E to Box Roundabout, alternatively via A46 northbound to Cold Ashton, to turn and return southbound, or London Road west, East to Bathford roundabout.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
