Drivers in and around North Somerset will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm March 6 to 4am March 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to junction 20 lane closure for barrier repair.

M5, from 10pm March 6 to 6am March 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 exit slip carriageway closure for general maintenance, diversion via M5, junction 20 and return.

M5, from 8pm March 7 to 4am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to junction 22, lane closure for barrier works.

M5, from 9pm March 7 to 6am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19, lane closures for general maintenance.

M5, from 9pm March 11 to 6am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 20, lane closure for general maintenance.

M5, from 8pm March 12 to 6am March 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18, lane closures for for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm March 12 to 6am March 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19, lane closure for general maintenance.

M5, from 10pm March 14 to 6am March 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 entry slip carriageway closure for general maintenance, diversion via M5, junction 20 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
