Drivers in and around North Somerset will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm July 1 to 4am July 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to junction 21, lane closures for barrier works.

M5, from 9pm July 2 to 5am July 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 Both directions at, junction 21, lane closure on exit slip for drainage works.

M5, from 10pm July 2 to 6am July 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closure for drainage works.

M5, from 8pm July 3 to 4am July 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 20 to junction 21 lane closures for barrier repair.

M5, from 10pm July 4 to 6am July 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 entry slip road - carriageway closure for drainage works, diversion via M5 southbound, exit, junction 21, join M5 northbound.

M5, from 10pm July 5 to 6am July 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 exit slip closed for drainage works, diversion route continue to junction 21 and return to junction 20.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
