A LEVEL students up and down the country were feeling a mix of emotions ahead of receiving their exam results on Thursday, August 15 but Writhlington School students and staff were among those rejoicing.
School leavers received some excellent grades, with over a quarter of students’ getting results between A* and A and half A* to B.
In a post published on Facebook, the school said: “Writhlington School is proud to announce the exceptional achievements of its students in this year's A Level examinations. The results, released today, reflect the dedication, resilience, and hard work of both students and staff over the past 2 years.”
Emma Sage, Head of Sixth Form, added: “We are incredibly proud of all our students who have put in so much hard work and effort. Their outstanding performance is a testament to their commitment to academic excellence and the support provided by the school community”.
Amongst the fabulous results across all subjects, the following students stood out for their exceptional performance:
- Jonah Druitt achieved AABB and is going to study Plant Sciences at the University of Bristol.
- Emily Jefferyes achieved AAB and is going to study Paramedic Science at the University of Surrey.
- Joseph Markey achieved AAA and is going to study Medicine at University of Southampton.
- Callum Mason achieved AAAB and is going to study Astrophysics at Cardiff University.
- Grace Morris achieved A*AA and is going to study Graphic Design at Falmouth University.
- Olivia Stephens achieved Distinction*AB.
As well as students securing places at many of the top Universities in the country, Writhlington School revealed that they have a good number of students embarking on apprenticeships with national and global organisations such as Airbus, Rolls Royce, Wessex Water and the Ministry Of Defence.
