THE second month of the season has proven exciting for Chew Valley Rugby Club with strong performances from the second team, Valley Cats, and Colts.

The Chew Valley 2nd XV celebrated home victories, defeating Oldfield Old Boys 27-15 and Rebels Rugby 42-19.

Meanwhile, Valley Cats triumphed over Swanage and Wareham with an impressive 53-12 score, and the Colts maintained an undefeated streak, besting Oldfield Old Boys, Wells, and Ashley Down.

While the first and third teams have faced challenges, support from the rugby community has been unwavering.

Club Chairman Shane Cameron made a call for additional players for the third team, and the response has been overwhelming.

The influx of players, including first team vice-captain Reg Parfit brother, Luke Parfit, has brought new energy to the squad. Both players were spotted proudly wearing the iconic green and white kit.

To further bring the community together, Chew Valley RFC is hosting a “Bonkers Bingo” night on Saturday, November 23. Promising fun, laughter, and prizes, the event is sure to be memorable. Tickets are available on Eventbrite for £15, with more details on the club's website and social media.
