The sun continues to shine through the day and our prayers have been answered with rainfall at night time. Hurrah! All we’ve left to pray for is our golf scores now, which weren’t too shabby in our most recent competition...
Seventy six of us took part in this seniors fourball betterball competition on a glorious day at Farrington Park.
The winning pair, with fifty points were Alan Elkington and Fraser McGregor (yes he is, I’ve told you before!) - helped in no small way by Alan’s first ever hole in one. He aced the 15th, probably the most difficult par 3 on the course. Well done Alan.
There was an almighty tussle for second place with four teams on forty eight points. In fact, only three points separated players from second to fourteenth place.
Runners up were Pete Ross and David Cross with a back six score of seventeen points, just pipping Barry Hall and Steve Banfield who had a back six of sixteen.
