At long last that ball in the sky has made an appearance and with it a determined effort to convince us all that summer is here… well for a while anyway!

Seventy players took part in this first qualifying Stableford of the season playing for the Eddie Jackman Trophy. This is always awarded to the winner of Division Three and this year this was Andrew Smith with 43 points, pictured above receiving the trophy from the Seniors Captain Steve Ball.

Division One: Dave Brain 41, Phil Thompson 41, Steve Coles 40, Mike Bradbury 35, Tony Gilham 35.

Division Two: Dave Brown 37, John Fisher 37, Mark Greenman 35, Jim Farmer 32, Mel Field 31.

Division Three: Andrew Smith (Winner of Trophy) 43, Andy Smart 38, Richard Leworthy 38, Jeff Kelly 37, Nigel Punchard 32.

Results of the recent friendly matches, both at home. We defeated Knowle 4-2 and Long Sutton 3.5-2.5.

The winter pairs and singles competitions have been concluded with Dave Harvey and Steve Coles winning the pairs and Rob Thain winning the singles.
