Club Championship weekend was held over two very contrasting days weather-wise.

Our greenkeeper Mark and his staff worked wonders to not only keep the course playable during the torrential conditions of Saturday, partly with some very clever pin placements, but also to present it in such an amazing condition for Sunday’s second round – members remarked on the quality of the greens and how much they have improved over the past months.

Congratulations to our new Ladies champion, Sienna Elliott, with a total gross score of 179. The runner up was Jill Bocquet with a consistent two rounds of golf, finishing with a gross 191. The best two day overall nett score was won by Tina Keers with a total nett of 146.

Congratulations to Ashton Wylie for winning the Men’s championship by four shots with a gross 146 and to Ben Avis for winning the nett competition with a nett 137. Placings were as follows:

Gross - First: Ashton Wylie with 146. Joint second were Toby Cole and Toby Clark with 150.

Nett - First: Ben Avis 137, second Toby Cole with 140, third was Glen Crocker with 140.

The Seniors Whitmarsh Trophy for over seventies was won by Glen Crocker with thirty seven points.

Club night was won by Richard Ashby with a 12 hole score of thirty points. Guy Timson
