On Friday 20th October, Wells Golf Club held a 4 Ball Bowmaker Stableford in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness. This was the 4th year we have run the event with an aim to beat our total of £1,900 from last year.

The weather on the day prior to the event didn’t look promising but head greenkeeper Mark Lewer, had the course fully open on the day, even the sun shone for us!

30 teams took part with the majority wearing pink (including hair) they generously purchased raffle tickets for a wide selection of items donated by club members there was also a silent auction for a hamper and a £100 Voucher.

Results were:

Overall Winners: Scott Finnegan, Andrea Staples, Daniel Staples and Peter Hill

Ladies Winners: Katrina Foote, Glynis Slater, Erica Klim and Tina Davies

Men’s Winners: Roland Currell, Graham Hall, Liam O’Gorman and John Field

Men’s Runners Up: Mike McKay, Tim Taylor, Paul Cullen and Richard Mansfield

Mixed Winners: Craig McConnell, Craig Smith, Paul Lewer and Jackie Cohen

Visitors Winners: David James, Andy Vanstone, Collin Pilkington and Terry Oldrid (Yeovil Golf Club)
