CHEW Valley maintained their impressive form with a 36-32 away win over Lydney as they continued their remarkable winning run in Regional One South West.

It was their fifth successive victory with their only defeat of 2025 being a 58-12 loss away to leaders Brixham in early January. They won only one game during the first-half of the season - 27-26 at home to Sidmouth in December.

Their latest win enabled Valley to move up to tenth in the table, with Marlborough and Ivybridge now below them.

Brixham kept ahead of the field with an impressive 39-12 away win over Matson while second-placed Barnstaple are only one point behind their rivals after a 29-10 success at Sidmouth.

Brixham are home to Sidmouth this coming weekend while Barnstaple are also home - to Royal Wootton Bassett.
