TIMSBURY made it six wins out of seven in the Bristol and District League Division 1 after a fine win at Hambrook. Facing a challenging total of 217-7 Timsbury got over the line with ten balls and four wickets to spare.
After tying the home side down early on Timsbury proceeded to drop some crucial catches and an inspired partnership of 110 for the 5th wicket between Visavadia (89) and Hunt (37) saw Hambrook get on top. Tom Parfitt took three late wickets to finish with 3-51 but the home side could be well pleased with their final total.
The opening partnership of Mark Sage and Greg Passingham has proved a fruitful one this season for Timsbury and once again they got the visitors off to a flying start putting on 82 for the first wicket until Passingham was dismissed for 30.
Sage continued his consistent form with another good knock of 64 and with Lew Redwood contributing 33 and skipper Jesse Bishop 38 Timsbury kept up the momentum. Ollie Davis then justified his selection to the first team with a lovely cameo of 29 not out as the visitors collected another 18 points.
Timsbury’s second and third elevens continue to feel the impact of multiple unavailabilities and injuries and were both well beaten.
