Midsomer Norton and Radstock Branch of the Royal British Legion will be opening their brand-new drop-in centre on Friday, June 14, 2024.

This centre will be open from 2pm until 4pm every second Friday of the month at St John’s Church Hall, Midsomer Norton so that serving members, veterans, their families and like-minded people can drop in for a cuppa and a chat.

The centre will be officially opened by the chair of Bath and North East Somerset Council, Independent Councillor Karen Walker.

Andrea Feeney, the vice chair of the branch, said she felt it was important to show support for our serving members, veterans and their families and to give them the opportunity to discuss any problems, It also promotes a level of comradeship among the community while giving everyone a chance to seek assistance should they need it.

Andrea said: “The invite does not stop at those who have served and their dependants. We want to encourage like-minded people to come for a chat and to meet people with the same outlook on life.”
