MIDSOMER Norton Rugby Club, whose league season begins early next month, fielded two sides in their new black strip for friendlies at Frome last Saturday.
The lst XV won 46-12 and the 2nd XV also won - 22-17.
They are also due to play again at Stroud at the end of this month (kick-off 1p.m.) before the real action gets under way on Saturday, September 7.
The club’s fixtures for all three league sides are now available. Games for The Optomists will be announced in the near future.
The lst XV will also be looking for more Papa John's Cup success this season, with the cup due to kick off on 12th April - the draws will be made around Christmas.
Bath Combination will be making the draws for the Davis Access Cup and Vase on the 28th August, with the draw livestreamed on Facebook.
Midsomer Norton kick off the new season with an away match against Oldfield. The following week they are home to Chew Valley.
The 2nds are also away to their Oldfield counterparts on the opening day of the season and play away to Chew Valley 3rds the following Saturday.
The 3ds are away to St Bernadettes in their opening fixture and home to Imperial the following weekend.
