MIDSOMER Norton maintained top spot in Counties Two Somerset with a 143-0 home thrashing of lowly St Bernadettes Old Boys.

It came only a fortnight after Midsomer Norton chalked up a 101-7 home victory over Imperial.

In fact, it is the third time this season Midsomer Norton have scored more than 100 points. In September they beat Wells 109-0 - again on home soil.

This coming Saturday, November 16, Midsomer Norton are away to Rebels Rugby who are lying fourth and should provide much tougher opposition.

With Oldfield Old Boys beating second-placed Clevedon 32-17, Midsomer Norton have now opened up a seven-point lead at the top of the table.

Minehead Barbarians are now up to second after they gained a 74-5 home win over Imperial.
